We have developed and implemented an integrated management system which complies with the international standards ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004.
We are committed to continually improving efficiency of processes, developing technologies, and informing employees and stakeholders of eco-friendly solutions that will help reduce the negative impact on the environment.
Our main quality and environment principles are:
- To ensure the consideration of requirements and needs
of customers and other interested parties;
- To ensure the quality and timeliness as well as
fulfilment of all promises made to the customer in execution of work;
- To act in compliance with applicable laws, regulations
and standards. To collaborate with agencies and other organizations in order to
protect natural resources and the environment;
- To develop the skills of employees and to raise their
awareness through the training process;
- To constantly enhance the company's efficiency through
modern management and planning methods;
- To ensure the effectiveness of the management system
in accordance with
ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004. Continuous improvement of the management system and relevant processes;
- To ensure environmental friendliness of both the
office and the warehouse;
- To reduce waste and air, water and soil pollution. To
ensure management of waste in a safe manner to the environment and people;
- To inform all employees and subcontractors of the
potential impact on the environment due to their activities, and of our quality
and environment policies.
DirectionsWe have achieved energy efficiency in 3 ways – reduction of energy losses, shifting of consumption patterns, and reduction of energy consumption required for the workflows through the use of renewable energy.
Sorting of waste
Waste arising from our activities is sorted and directed into recycling.
- In 2014, 74% of the sorted waste was recycled.
- In 2015, 81% of the sorted waste was recycled.
In 2016, 83,9% of the sorted waste was recycled.
Renewable energyIn April 2014, we launched a solar panel park at our Välja tee Logistics Centre with a capacity of 82 kW. Divided between months, the annual average energy productivity is
6500 - 6700 kWh. The energy produced is about 10% of the annual requirement of the logistics centre.
Depending on the time of year (the height/angle of the sun), the maximum productivity is achieved during the time period from 11:00 to 14:00, which at the given time covers 99% of the logistics centre's energy needs.
By consumption of renewable energy, we are able to avoid throwing approximately
80 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year.
Separate loading areaIn order to prevent heat and cold loss, we have separated the high bay warehouse from the loading area. Both of these areas are heated and the temperature is controlled separately.
Lighting95% of lighting works on motion detectors. Shelf spacing is divided into three zones. Fluorescent or LED lamps are used.
We use transparent roof hatches to provide better light in the warehouse. Usage of daylight ensures a lower resource consumption for energy production.
TransportThrough transport planning we reduce unnecessary journeys. Freight transport is organised in certain areas and at specified times.
All new employees will receive quality and environmental training, including the introduction of the company's quality and environmental policy, explaining why the green thinking is important for the company, and how waste is sorted.
Every employee has the right to initiate activities to improve the system and workflow.We regularly review processes and implement development measures. The management sets measurable quality and environmental objectives that are consistent with the relevant policies and take into account both the company and customers' present and future needs, as well as the company’s business processes and overall strategic objectives. Quality and environmental objectives have been set for a certain period and presented in the form of quantitative BSC scorecard.
OutreachWe have conveyed the promotion of environmental awareness to our employees, customers and partners. We speak in seminars and invite people to come visit and acquaint themselves with the warehouse solutions
